About Bear Creek Canoes Bear Creek Canoes and Kayaks are made of high quality fiberglass with vinyl gunwales trimmed out with ash seats, yokes, thwarts and carrying handles. All canoes come with built in floatation at bow and stern. All of our boats have a one-year warranty from date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. Bear Creek Canoe has been a Maine company since 1981, started by Robert Brawn. Robert, although no longer the owner, contributes new models of canoes for Bear Creek.
